Operation: Flashpoint defined the war simulation genre. Impeccable detail, intuitive controls, objective freedom, a sense of glory coupled with a large dollop of reality. Not only did you finally feel like a soldier, but the game provided the enormous...

ARMA2 succeeds in creating an impressive simulation, but fails in creating an accessible game.

ArmA 2 review — complex for its own sake

If you're an FPS fan, you've probably heard of ArmA 2, a game who's title is often confused with “Armed Assault 2″ — it's not, ArmA is actually the spiritual successor to Operation Flashpoint. In ArmA 2, the game takes place in a fictional Soviet...

Great Military Simulator

This is what ArmA/OFP2 should have really been. Great graphics and MP game play. The terrain generation is beautiful. BIS provides plenty of tools for further modifications and addons

Doesn't quite capute the original OFP look and feel, but still way better than anything else out there. The campaign could use a little improvement

Good price

Amazing, great graphics. Amazing gameplay and makes you feel as if you were in a warzone. Huge open world map, and many vehicles, weapons, and much more

A little buggy, but hey, worth it

Great gameplay. Large map. Great graphics

Even with its latest 1.3 patch, it's still very glitchy. You should be at least be able to complete the game without having to skip missions using cheat codes (that's how glitchy it used to be), but there are some annoying problems still around. There...

Great game

Get it if you like games to be more than run and gun and restricted hallways to run down.

If you liked OFP or ArmA, you will LOVE this game. It provides the same level of immersion (i.e., operate tanks, fly jets/helis, etc), but with more toys (i.e., C-130, artillery, aircraft carriers [you can land on - sweet], J-35VTO, miniguns OH YEA,...

Like all software, he has bugs. It is a CPU and video card hog! I couldn't imagine planning it on the minimum required machine specs. I have a q6600 with a Nvidia GTS 250 and 8GB RAM.. ALL FOUR CPUs run at ~70% during gaming with about 2GB RAM being...
