Battlefield 3 Armored Kill Review

 

Now that's more like it.

Tank Superiority mode is awesome; Alborz Mountains map steals the show; Gunship is a great addition

Most classes don't have much of a purpose; 64 players isn't enough; No new infantry weapons

What's your favorite Battlefield vehicle of all time? Just asking, for no reason. I'm certainly not going to wait for you to head towards it and then jump in and drive away just before you get there, just for the joy of watching your impotent rage in...

DICE aims to give each of these mini-expansion packs a unique flavour of carnage, and the latest promises to rekindle the scope of past Battlefields, with the emphasis on vast playgrounds and more armour than a medieval museum...

Finally we get to play on massive maps that make Caspian Border look tiny, and the emphasis on mass mechanised mayhem is a refreshing change of pace ; Each of the four maps are totally unique, covering icy mountains, open deserts, night scrubland and...

Latency/warping is a bit of an issue on certain servers running Bandar Desert and Alborz Mountains; The flag in Tank Superiority needs to move around to stop stalemates; Armored Kill can bring out the worst in players, who still don’t realise driving...

Armored Kill is proof that DICE is still the best in the business at crafting these colossal worlds in which to play, and it's an expansion that makes Battlefield 3 feel vital and current once again.

Feels like a reward for Premium loyalty ; Tank Superiority is great fun ; Vast, beautifully designed maps

Rush may need rebalancing

There may be some balance tweaks to be done on the AC-130, and it would be nice to have these giant, spectacular arenas thrown into the regular map rotation, but those who've paid out for Premium subscriptions will surely not be disappointed. Armored...
