Codename: Panzers, Phase Two (PC)

Last year's Codename: Panzers, Phase One was an excellent and innovative real-time strategy game set amid everyone's favorite global struggle (and not to mention game setting), World War II. Unfortunately, it had the ill luck of shipping in the middle...

Codename: Panzers, Phase Two

This second title in a three-part series isn't just more of the same. In fact, its real-time tactical game play takes place in the seldom-covered Southern European and Balkan campaigns, adding Italian forces and Yugoslav partisans to the mix. Several...

Codename: Panzers, Phase One (PC)

Stormregion's 2001 real-time strategy title S.W.I.N.E. featured pigs and rabbits engaged in a fictional war that drew parallels to World War II events. The company's latest game, Codename: Panzers, visits World War II for real. It features many of the...

Codename: Panzers -- Phase Two

It's pasta in British helmets and partisans on the run in this standalone expansion canvassing the Mediterranean Front.

Solid graphic engine that scales well and runs fine on average hardware; excellent tactical variety despite simplified war units; considerable replay value with segmented missions

Uninspired A.I. can make some of the missions too obvious; Starforce copy protection system with multiple reboots required during installation is a drag; might scare off historians looking for greater fidelity

Codename: Panzers Phase 2

When CDV released Codename Panzers: Phase One, based on the name alone it was inevitable that a follow-up would be coming out, and sure enough Phase Two is upon us. For those unaware of the series, Codename Panzers is a real time strategy game based on...

Conclusion:Lately it seems that WWII is a huge deal when it comes to games, with a slew of games covering the period. While most are FPS, lately some have turned to the RTS genre, and thankfully CDV has pulled out a nice follow-up to the critically...

Codename: Panzers – Phase Two

If you are a fan of World War II games, you will be in heaven at the moment due to the sheer amount of games covering the war. However, when there are so many games available, it takes an extra effort and extra quality for a game to stand out from the...

Fantastic use of tactical warfare ; Simple and easy-to-use layout ; Nice to see difficulty settings for missions ; High replay value due to difficulty settings and map editor

If you’re not tactically minded, you’ll hate this game

Standing head and shoulders above most of the other RTS games, this game has really impressed me. However, if you like your games all-action with no tactics involved, then this won’t be the game for you. Otherwise, I suggest you give this a try.

Codename: Panzers: Phase Two Review

CDV is solid and consistent with their strategy titles, and things are no different with their latest, Codename: Panzers - Phas...

Codename: Panzers - Phase I was an impressive game with a lot of details that made it fun to play, despite the fact that it may have been overlooked by many. Phase II continues to deliver the same gameplay without changing too much. This sequel is not...

Codename: Panzers Phase Two Review

Strategy game fans will enjoy the newest entry in the Panzer series but might be disappointed with the lack of differences between the first and second game

To sum it all up if you enjoyed the first game then this should be the game for you, especially if you are a hardcore strategy game fan. It's still a great WWII strategy game but with some changes not found in the first game. If you were disappointed...

Codename: Panzers, Phase One

This WWII game proves to a more-than-worthy successor to the Close Combat crown.

Plenty of diversity, great graphics, and easy to use interface

Some sound bugs and annoying dialog; another gloss over of the war
