Crazy Machines 2 Review for the PC

Soup to Nuts.

Huge variety of parts to play with; Complex gameplay; Realistic physics; Plenty of puzzles; Quirky and entertaining

Missing a few handy tools; Repetitive music samples

Usually, when people discover that I find math and physics problems to be fun, they conclude that I am either insane or an incredible nerd. Take your pick.

Crazy Machines 2 PC Review

When I first saw a gameplay video for Crazy Machines 2, a lot of thoughts ran through my head. Thoughts like: why haven't I heard of this before, is this a spiritual sequel to The Incredible Machine series, and how many different objects can they fit...

Large variety of contraptions; new downloadable levels; good applications of the physics engine; useful hint system

Lacking level design; somewhat irritating interface

If you've ever played one of the "Incredible Machine" series of games, you'll know exactly the kind of game that is Crazy Machines 2. In a nutshell, you're given a series of levels, each with its own set of pre-built machinery and objectives. Your goal...

Look out, we're using technology. Wile E. Coyote technology at that

Looks great ; Extensive editor ; Download other people's labs

Later levels really hard ; Too cartoony at times ; Waiting for time-sensitive items

This isn’t as bad as it seems, though, as you’ll never feel like an answer was unavailable due to any reason other than your own short-sightedness. And when the solution does eventually dawn on you, you’ll feel that sense of achievement that few games...

For those who don't know what a Rube Goldberg machine is, take a minute and type the term into YouTube and watch a few videos. Go on, I'll wait. Essentially, we're talking about a “machine” consisting of various everyday objects linked together to form...

Rube Goldberg machines are fun ; Woo! New 3D graphics

The gameplay is still 2D ; The 3D graphics aren’t that good ; Some levels require a very specific type of video card ; The game’s design is ridiculously cluttered in a way that works against the gameplay ; Puzzle instructions and goals are often far...

Crazy Machines 2 adds 3D graphics but also brings with it a clunky design that ultimately makes it less fun.

Crazy Machines 2 Review

An entirely satisfying brain buster of a game!

I really like this game; chances are, the puzzle fan in your family will to. With all the violence and wanton sexuality (not that this is a bad thing) in games, this is truly a game anyone can play without fear of anything even remotely offensive.
