Dark Fall: Lost Souls

Dark Fall 3: Lost Souls (DF3) is a classic. In fact, it is a double classic. It is both a classic adventure game and a classic ghost story.

Dark Fall: Lost Souls

Graphics and Sound

Scary as hell

You’re never really sure what's expected of you

What storyline? No, that's not fair. There is one. Really there is. But depending on how you look at it, the plot is either far too linear and simple to be called a mystery puzzle, or there are far too many layers, shadings and ambiguous subplots...

Dark Fall: Lost Souls

The original Dark Fall was one of the nicest surprises of 2002. A low-budget game produced almost singlehandedly by a first-time developer, only picked up by publishers after seeing its independent success, Dark Fall was a neat little package. It told...

Creepy atmosphere; vastly improved graphics; solid puzzles; some clever references to the original game; easily one of the scariest point-and-click adventures ever

Disjointed plot that never really feels cohesive; more of a pain to navigate areas than is necessary; puzzles are not always particularly well-integrated into the story

An improvement in many ways over previous entries, Lost Souls overcomes a sloppily-told story by upping the ante on terror and dread.

Dark Fall: Lost Souls Review

Old-school game design that is genuinely creepy

A solid story well told and creaky gameplay mechanics result in a good game, but one that's definitely not recommended for a wide audience.

Review: Dark Fall: Lost Souls (PC European Import)

Dark Fall: Lost Souls is not a bad game, but it IS a drastic drop in quality from the other games developed by Darkling Room. The game is technically sound, with a well made engine that lacks a lot of the slowdown issues that can grip other panoramic...

The Darkest of all Dark Fall's

I too played this latest game, from Jonathan Boakes, and found it a darker, more sombre affair. There are drug and alcohol references, which explain the more mature rating given to the game, but I also found the story was nicely balanced between WWII...

Creepy, paranormal horror/adventure game with twists!

This game is set and created in the UK, and features a disturbing story, that should delight ghost story fans, as well as more horror orientated gamers.

Excellent!

Without giving away any spoilers I have to say this game is darker, more disturbing and more macabre than any game I've played. It is well written and immersive. I think the author did a brilliant job writing a story that will leave people thinking...
