Great, immersive sci-fi story; epic in size and length, with many hours of FMV footage; solid music; main cast does a good job

Dated visuals; awful interface and movement design choices; sudden deaths and some dead ends; much of the supporting cast does a terrible job

The highly ambitious DARKSTAR delivers a great sci-fi story that’s unfortunately hampered by serious interface flaws, questionable design decisions, and occasional bad acting.

Darkstar is what everyone who grew up in the "glory days" of adventure gaming has been clamoring for years. Despite a lot of negative press about "interactive movies," there is a lot of ground support for this type of game. Just mention Gabriel Knight...
