Dead Space Review

In space, no one can hear you scr... AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

An excellent new addition to the splinter group of action games centered around horror. I suspect they will make a sequel and I suspect it too will spawn a franchise. Dead Space gets it right when it comes to the scares.

Blood caked walls. Walking corpses. Flickering, unreliable lighting. Did Halo and Silent Hill have an illegitimate child?

Dead Space

Dead Space offers the best mix of action, customization and plot since Resident Evil 4.

Superbly detailed action, story and upgrade system; incredibly scary; includes a veritable pantheon of awesome mechanics

Leave some time after the credits roll to pull yourself together and stop your hands from shaking; no, seriously

Dead Space Game Review - PC

Dead Space relies heavily on its story and it is a benchmark for understanding just why you are on board a derelict space station overrun by vicious alien creatures. Dead Space itself is actually the continuation of a branching storyline that began in...

Gory, scary, and ultimately very entertaining; audio and visuals combine to create the ultimate horror experience

Missions could have used more diversity

The game begins with the giant ship, USG Ishimura, already having been attacked by a mysterious force, while Isaac Clarke and the Concordance Extraction Corporation are responding to a distress signal issued out by someone onboard the Ishimura. Right...

Dead Space

An incredibly atmospheric and disturbingly gruesome deep-space adventure that will haunt your dreams and leave you begging for more.

Deeply engrossing story ; Breathtaking visuals and nerve-wracking audio ; Strategic dismemberment adds an entirely new, satisfying dimension to combat ; Complete lack of a traditional heads-up display immerses you into the experience ; Truly terrifying...

Repetitive mission objectives ; Close-quarters combat is troublesome

Dead Space (2008)

While there’s no denying the glorious Resident Evil 4 redefined console fright fests, the limitations of early editions in Capcom’s survival horror series were a huge part of what made them so terrifying; from the clunky controls of the PSOne games...
