Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

When Quake Wars first launched on the PC in October of 2007 it was met with positive reviews and plenty of fan approval. There was no doubt that Activision would...

Incredibly deep shooter ; Great bot AI ; Extremely balanced

Graphics suffered from port ; Almost too overwhelming

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (PC)

Quake Wars is a multiplayer first person shooter that takes place before Quake 2. The Strogg are trying to conquer the earth and the GDF forces are trying to repel them. Pick a side and join the battle! There are plenty of vehicles and aircraft at your...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars PS3 Game Review

The Quake series should be a bit insulted with this PS3 treatment of the game. It's mediocre in every possible way, and should be avoided.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

One interesting feature is the “megatexture” terrain technology. Instead of using the standard practice of repeating ground texture templates all over the map, the entire terrain is rendered as one huge texture. This not only has the benefit of...

Class-based multiplayer ; Vehicles add depth ; Solid multiplayer title

Lack of a player community kills the game ; Bulk of the replay value stems from playing online

Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars on Xbox 360

Run And Gun

Gamers who like a little more structure in their FPS’s, like Halo’s mixture of skill with rock-paper-scissors combat based gameplay or Gears of War’s stop-and-pop shooting mechanic, should definitely look else where. But if you like your action fast...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

Quake could be considered the game that spawned on-line gaming for the masses. The franchise hasn't aged well in the passing decade, and like much of id's properties it is fighting with newer more intense storytelling in the first person shooter genre...

Does manage to fit every style of game into one package

but it all feels borrowed, and some of it doesn't fit together perfectly ; Combat feels slow and sluggish, and doesn't have anything that grabs the player

This game just doesn't stand up against the great bevvy of FPS games on the market, it's just too generic, and too muddles to be worth your time.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

A year late, and a few features short.

There are also a variety of vehicles to choose from on each map, ranging from your standard jeep style cars and helicopters, to more fanciful creations such as giant mechanized armor. You can create a ton of destruction on each map with the vehicle...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (Xbox 360) Review

Could I get out of fighting in this war if I shot myself in the foot?

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars fails on one level and an succeeds on the other. The single player offline mode pretty weak. There are only monotonous battles that you will grow tired with over time. Yes, it is fun to run around and shoot things to no end...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is an awesome game... but not on the PS3.

Actually, scratch that. It made an impression all right, but it left such a sour taste in my mouth that I never want to slip the disc into my PS3 again.
