Fallout 3: The Pitt

After a month delay and some launch day technical whoopsies, Fallout 3's second DLC, The Pitt, is finally here. Similar to the first, Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt introduces a new area to the game with its own little chunk of adventure that can be...

Whether The Pitt is worth your money sort of depends on how much of a Fallout 3 fan you are. All said, the new quest line will probably only take you a few hours to go through once, a few more for checking out alternate solutions, and that's about it....

Fallout 3 Operation: Anchorage

For those who do not know, for those who have not yet completed Fallout 3, here's a quickie spoiler: Fallout 3 ends at the end of the primary mission tree. Unlike, say, Oblivion, where after completing the final primary mission you were free to...

Bethesda says Operation Anchorage takes 3-4 hours to complete. I'd put that number at more like 2-3, but for only $10 it represents moderate gaming bang for your buck. I'm hoping future DLC will be much better.

Fallout 3

The Good: Highly interactive and atmospheric post-apocalyptic RPG. The Bad: Perhaps VATS isn't all it's cracked up to be. Some camera issues. The Ugly: Nothing particularly ugly about this release.

In Fallout 3 Bethesda has made a very good thing, though it is somewhat hampered by the lack of variable scenery and a VATS that plays less than perfectly. From the opening strains of I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, the chilling atmosphere is...

Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta

So, here it is. The fifth and final addition to the Fallout canon (and we mean it this time). By this point, fans will probably have explored most of the Eastern Seaboard thanks to the four previous content downloads, so surely the next logical step...

Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta Review

An alien spaceship? How could that be boring?

Mothership Zeta is a decent distraction that many Fallout fans won't mind paying extra coin for. If money is tight, however, I would suggest first looking into some of the better content available.

Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta Review [Xbox 360, PC]

Mothership Zeta is the final piece of DLC that Bethesda plan to release for Fallout 3 in the immediate future, and with the high quality of the earlier instalments, it has a lot to live up to. Thankfully, Mothership Zeta does not disappoint, and in...

Enjoyable Plot ; Unique Environment ; Get to Kill Lots of Aliens

Some holes in the plot ; Cant revisit areas in the Mothership after the DLC is completed

Bethesda save the best for last with the Mothership Zeta DLC, where you once again get to prove that messing with the Lone Wanderor is bad for your health.

Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta Review

If you're looking for samurai, aliens, a good old fistfight leading to a prison break, and a new off-world setting for your adventurer from Vault 101 to explore, well, wait a minute. Clearly this is not what you were looking for, so that setup doesn't...

As an endcap to the DLC saga for Fallout 3, I admit that I'm a little disappointed overall in Mothership Zeta's return to linear, corridor-style FPS action, lack of choices for the player, and flashy but ultimately mediocre gadgetry to bring back with...

Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta (DLC) Review

Alien probes! Death rays! Fallout 3's fifth DLC comes steeped in a 1950s sci-fi vibe that packs truly stellar graphics.

Zeta is still a worthwhile trip for $10 (800 Microsoft Points). It may not be as good of a vacation as Fallout 3: Point Lookout, but there's enough here to keep RPG fans occupied a few more weekends this summer.

Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta Review for the PC

Aliens come in peace... their body pieces gladly provided by the Vault dweller.

Huge new environment to explore; Great equipment that can be acquired; Interesting story bits reward exploration; Hidden references everywhere are awesome

Still glitchy at spots, graphically and technically

Fallout 3: Point Lookout Review

Bethesda's fourth DLC pack for Fallout 3 is called Point Lookout, and like its three siblings, this pack is full of new adventures for your intrepid explorer from Vault 101 to experience. It starts with a steamboat ride down the Potomac River to Point...

For most gamers, mods don't play much into their style and the bugs still left in Fallout 3 aren't really killing the experience. If you haven't experienced a problem yet, then you won't with Point Lookout either. What you will get is a solid story...
