FlatOut Ultimate Carnage Review

It's just FlatOut 2 with better graphics, a couple of new game modes, and more stuff to smash up. It's from the usual breed of for-the-sake-of it semi-sequels that dogs this and so many other genres. It's a perfectly ordinary update for the franchise,...

It's just FlatOut 2 with better, graphics, a couple of new game modes, and more stuff to smash up. And that'll do quite nicely.

Flatout: Ultimate Carnage

It's fast, it's fiery, and it's definitely one of the most entertaining racers ever conceived

Exciting destructible environments ; Superb visual quality ; Excellent replay value

Punishingly hard

To conclude, UC is actually more fun than 100 F1 races combined, and is highly recommended for the tantalizing amount of close shaves and thrills it offers.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (PC) - Gameplanet Review

FlatOut 2 has been given a light dusting over by Bugbear and released in a pretty new frock. It's hard to decide between rage and disappointment.

Better graphics

It's just the Xbox 360 game on a PC-DVD. The Windows Live requirements are tiresome. Every track and stunt is lifted from FlatOut 2. There is no LAN play. Virtually no effort has been put into this port whatsoever

Stick with FlatOut 2.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage

It's bound to get old eventually, but FlatOut fans looking for more of the same but with stunning next-gen visuals will find exactly that.

Superb visuals ; Thrilling racing

Lots of content from FlatOut 2 ; Can be punishingly hard

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage for PC arrives during a relatively quiet release window and as such should find a considerable audience. The single-player Career won't take all that long to complete, but with a hugely entertaining multiplayer mode both on...
