James Bond 007: Blood Stone

If Looks Could Kill

Good sound and graphics, can be competent occasionally

Bland design, tightly linear levels, poor story, far too short, Joss Stone

The one thing Blood Stone does have going for it is the lovely graphics. I do not know what engine is running it, but Blood Stone is certainly good to look at. Granted, Daniel Craig looks like Christopher Eccleston and Judi Dench looks dead, but...

James Bond 007: Blood Stone Review

Stylish combat and white-knuckle driving make this an enjoyable James Bond adventure, despite some pacing issues.

Solid shooting mechanics and slick melee combat ; Driving sections are a blast ; Great production values ; Globe-trotting story allows for lots of environmental variety

Gets off to a very slow start after the prologue ; Throwaway multiplayer ; Gadget sections are simply filler

authentic voice acting using the current generation actor roles ; car sections rather good

average shooter at the core ; multiplayer lobbies generally empty ; one hit kill melee action in MP too annoying

Good but short"

Reasonable fun – controls are simple and it's a good mix of driving, stealth and shooting. Graphics are an obvious console port and don't look sogood on PC. It's quite short but ok value for the price.

Very poor graphics including sluggish motion control; dysfunctional programmefor changing weapons & collecting ammunition; bad audio; car & boatscenes have just been poached from Need for Speed or something. I wish I couldreturn this.
