Legendary (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) review

During one of my regular visits to game trailers dot com, I happened across a few videos for an upcoming game that went by the name of Legendary. After suppressing my initial reaction to laugh out loud at the poor choice of name and logo that did...

As I noted before, in the genre of FPS you've got to bring your A-game to be noticed. And apparently this team's A-game was off flitting about in the land of make believe and fairies, receiving a warm consoling hug from the mythical creatures they...

This frustratingly bad shooter is not the stuff legends are made of.

Agile werewolves throw crates at you

Ugly ; Story doesn't make any sense ; Poor level design brimming with cliches ; It's easy to get hung up in the tight, cluttered environments

Legendary (PC) review

King Augeas had some stables once, those were legendary for being crappy, too

Monotonous and slightly broken; a herculean task just to complete.

Legendary (PC) - Gameplanet Review

This could well be a surprise hit for those willing to invest the time. Despite a lack of polish, there's a relatively deep story for fans of mythology.

Terrifying foes. Grandiose storyline. Wonderful cinematics. Compelling characters. Escapism at its best

Graphics are nothing to write home about. Environmental interaction is lacking. Mini-puzzles are largely pointless

Heaps of potential.

Even with its technical glitches, you wonder why Legendary was met with such venom by the gaming community. Okay, it doesn't reinvent the wheel in terms of a first-person shooter (or survival horror, which it partly is) but Legendary does have a grand,...

Great production design ; Decent monsters ; Simple premise: point and shoot ; Customise your own battles online

Numerous technical problems ; Can't skip certain cut scenes ; Lazy lock-pick device on electronic doors ; Wastes a genuinely cool idea ; It's quite short

Ultimately, Legendary would have been better titled 'Amiable'. It looks fabulous and the ability to absorb the energy of your demon enemies and then use it against them is a cool idea that could have been exploited just that little bit more. Legendary...

For those of you who need more background please read my review of the original Starcraft since it goes into more details. Too Much Of A Good Thing? I'm not much of a trendsetter. I don't often play the ...
