Heavy commercialism taints game.

Parents need to know that commercialism is a concern with this game. It advertises other products and game tie-ins, uses NFL licensed players, and even its soundtrack (with introduction of each song) appears to be a commercial.

Madden NFL 2004 Game Review - PC

Madden NFL 2004 covers every aspect of professional football and does it very well. New to the game is the Owner Mode. Owner Mode is an updated franchise mode that lets you do a lot more. In addition to hiring and firing Staff; you can put some money...

For a football game to be great, the controls of the game have to be perfect. With the addition of Playmaker, Madden's controls get more diverse than ever. While sometimes complicated, Madden offers some of the most understandable and easy control...

Madden NFL 2004 - GameCube review at Thunderbolt Games

As a matter of political correctness, it's somewhat taboo to talk about religion in reviews these days, but bear with my tangential introduction, because I have recently come to an important revelation. You see, I was raised as a Christian, which means...

"Wrapping up, the new Madden game is great, with just enough changes to make it worth purchasing."

Madden NFL 2004

EA has the advantage.

Off-season mode is a revelation ; Playmaker control is one of those “why didn’t anyone do this before” conveniences ; EA FairPlay controls mostly achieve intended goal ; Owner controls the most in-depth ever on a console game ; Great graphics and sharp...

Players imported from early anonymous “uniform number only” seasons of NCAA Football 2004 stay anonymous ; FairPlay controls still have holes that penalize the player who wants to quit a game in which other players are cheating ; Commentary still...

It’s hard to say whether Madden outdoes Sega’s ESPN Football 2K4 until we’ve had a chance to compare them – but Madden has set the bar high and as the only franchise with a college football counterpart this year, Madden has the advantage.

Madden NFL 2004

Still a solid game, but Madden needs a shot of personality.

Great graphics, solid gameplay, owner's mode is fun; solid online play

Sluggish controls; highly questionable AI in franchise mode; terrible play-by-play

Madden NFL 2004

Having a successful passing game in Madden NFL 2004 requires much more thought than you might initially suspect, especially since the defensive backs are much more adept at stepping into zones and going after balls. Setting aside the playmaker controls...

Madden NFL 2004 for Windows

This is the worst EA Sports Game ever. This game crashes easily 50% of the time at all different points of time: Main menu, during game play, and particularly after a completed franchise game. After playing 8 games in Franchise mode, only 4 count...

Madden NFL 2004 for Windows

So far a dissappointment. Flaws with defence have not been fixed and special teams are now too difficult to defend. Enjoyed 2002 much more.

Madden NFL 2004 for Windows

I have all the Madden pc games, and until I played this one I thought that 2002 was the best one ever.EA just seems to know how to improve upon a great game, instead of just resting on thier butts, they were working.I have to say that it is the best 40...
