Making History: The Calm and the Storm (PC)

Making History is an interesting, though dry, turn-based World War II strategy game.

Making History: The Calm and the Storm PC Review

One would be hard-pressed to describe World War II as having been fun, but Muzzy Lane and Strategy First's approach to flipping world history topsy-turvy in Making History: The Calm & The Storm brings gamers considerably close to doing just that. ...

Passed Inspection: Replay value. No two games alike. Well thought-out interface means less clicking, more playing.

Kick Hitler in the ass one more time

Managing your economy ; Variety of victory conditions ; Compelling, one-more-turn play

Mediocre manual ; Very slow-paced ; The average sound effects

We loved having the option to select alternate victory conditions per scenario because it changed how we approached each game and added replayability. The game offers only five scenarios, each covering a distinct chapter of WWII, but in all fairness...

Making History: The Calm & the Storm - Review

I think that grand strategic games of World War II would be one of my favorite strategy game subgenres if anyone could ever make a decent grand strategic game of World War II. The latest to give it a try is Making History: The Calm and the Storm. While...

It won't make history in the annals of strategy gaming, but Making History is a decent enough diversion for those with an interest in World War II strategy on a global scale.
