Mass Effect 2 (PC)

Mass Effect 2 takes the bleak vacuum of space and flushes it with color--the light of stars and galaxies, the red and violet swirls of far-off nebulas, and the glimpses of comets as they burn through the void. You'll catch your first glimpse of this in...

Mass Effect (PC)

When Mass Effect was originally released last November on the Xbox 360, it unveiled a vast, beautiful galaxy populated by diverse, fascinating alien races. Players stepped onto this stage as Commander Shepard, a hero at the vanguard of humanity's...

Mass Effect 2: Arrival Review

Mass Effect 2 has officially ended. Is the final mission worth a purchase?

Purchasing Arrival means there’s more to do in Mass Effect 2, and that’s always a good thing. It sets up the tone of urgency that’s prevalent in the Mass Effect 3 trailer, but don’t expect it to explain a lot. If you don’t mind combat-focused, linear...

Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow ..

Closure is a good thing.

Well paced combat, excellent pieces of character development, lots of end game rewards

Best played by a very specific subset of Mass Effect players, predictable story, the return of helmet kissing

Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker Review

I miss the days when a little omni-gel would fix anything!

You can't go wrong with more Liara; Beautiful set pieces; Epic story and game flow; Ties into both Mass Effect games

Very few problems with mission texts

Mass Effect 2

I spent eight hours with the original Mass Effect, and I hated all of them. While the world, characters and story were all interesting (if a little sci-fi clichéd), the combat system proved far too frustrating to persevere to the end. The RPG...

Gamers expecting a truly memorable narrative may be slightly disappointed with Mass Effect 2. The game is far too much setup and not enough payoff to be considered anything more than an opening act to the (hopefully) epic finale. Bioware could have...

Mass Effect 2 (360)

The player takes on the role of Commander Shepard once again with the option to import his or her saved game from the first Mass effect, preserving the story decisions and customizations from the original game. The game does still permit some...

-"The black armor is slimming."  Shepard's attire on the ship and the armor worn on missions can be customized to suit individual taste. The armor can be customized as often as the player likes and does not change with upgrades. Patterns are limited,...
