NBA 2K10

A new classic in basketball simulation

TV-quality presentation ; Realistic simulation of the sport ; It's the best PC basketball game ever

Multiplayer interface makes finding matches tricky ; Doesn't change much from last year ; Practically requires an Xbox 360 pad

Defending is still very hard, and you have to be patient and play the percentages, especially in the excellent-though-tough My Player mode, where you take a self-created rookie from the the D-League through to the NBA finals. It's very difficult, but...

When it comes to sports simulators, usually one development company will control a major sport.? For example, Sony controls the baseball market whereas EA dominates the NHL and NFL franchise.? On the other hand, when it comes to the NBA, the dominant...

There are many similiarties from 2K9 that carried over to 2K10, but the PC's inclusion of Living Rosters, Online Play, NBA Today, My Player Mode and the $20 price tag will have you playing this until 2K11 comes out.

NBA 2K10 review

The NBA 2K series have pretty much been kicking NBA Live's behind for the last few seasons, and rightfully so. The gameplay has always been better on the 2K series, the presentation and depth have likewise left NBA Live in the dust. But for the 2010...

NBA 2K10: Derrick Rose Q&A

By: Brian EkbergDerrick Rose might be one of the first, if not the first, professional athlete to be featured as the cover star of a sports game which has no cover. Of course, I'm referring to the recently released NBA 2K Draft Combine, which was...

NBA 2K10 vs NBA LIVE 10 Comparative Review

2K Game's NBA 2K10 goes up against close rival, Electronic Art's NBA Live 10 this year. Each game will have its devotees, but what about those of us looking for a Basketball video game for the first time? How do we decide which of these we will enjoy...

Dynamic DNA / Living Rosters add immersion; Smooth animation and high quality arenas. The EA title is less realistic, but easier on the gaming eye than the 2K Sports offering.; Managers and players have an injection of character; Plenty to play with,...

Silent highlights package on in EA post game.; The usual EA Menu fun (not!); NBA 2K10 coaching hot keys a little clunky

Basically a good game with some flaws that should have been corrected with patches by now.

2k sports said a PC patch was around the corner months ago and has been mum since. Still a pretty good game considering it's only $20, but it could be so much better if they fixed these issues. Many of which are already patched for the consoles. Get...

The graphics are fantastic. Framerate in normally smooth 30+ fps with high settings on my Phenom x2 550 3.1ghz, 4 gig ram, Radeon HD 4870 1 gig system. Some good tunes for the soundtrack ; Gameplay is pretty fun. Good player customization for MyPlayer...

Game will occasionally crash to desktop or restart the computer. Frustrating to lose progress on a game that was going well. Game saves become corrupted at times. Always make back up copies of saves (of latest save and even a couple games back) unless...

Best and worse NBA game ever

I have no issues with the game play but I do have a quad core processor and a GTX 285. I found it unfortunate that I had to purchase an xbox 360 controller for windows because my other 3 controllers were not compatible with this game.

The gameplay takes some getting used to if you are used to playing NBA Live. This however feels much more realistic and graphics wise, is second to none. It has a nice soundtrack and I have never played a sports game with better commentators. They not...

Menu navigation is clunky and quirky at best. I often find myself fumbling around to find menus I may have just utilized a day before. The BIGGEST CON that I cannot believe has not yet been mentioned is the lack of support from 2K Sports. Guys, this...
