Painkiller: Overdose (PC)

This stand-alone Painkiller expansion is pure, stupid fun, despite slow loads and an utter lack of innovation.

Painkiller: Overdose

Painkiller: Overdose is aptly named; it's an overdose of Painkiller. My advice to those who have not played the original Painkiller is to skip this game and get Painkiller, which is only 9.99 on Steam. My advice to those who have played the original...

Painkiller: Overdose

When fan boys go bad

Slicing and dicing demons ; Tons of different-looking enemies ; Lots of different-looking locations

Enemies aren't really different ; Weapons aren't new ; Crappy combat

Painkiller: Overdose (PC)

With so many viable shooter alternatives available this quarter, it's extremely difficult to overlook the glaring flaws that litter Painkiller: Overdose.

Mindless, but fun shooting action; some interesting level and enemy concepts

Overly simplistic map designs; severe lack of ammo throughout the game; dated visuals; inconsistent frame rate; long loading times

Painkiller: Overdose Review

There aren't enough painkillers around to suffer through this game.

Players that appreciate hours of mindless blasting against equally brainless monsters will enjoy Painkiller: Overdose. The graphics and gameplay feel like they were grabbed out of yesteryear in more ways than one, but it delivers exactly what people...

Painkiller: Overdose PC Preview

I recently had an opportunity to sit down with a producer at DreamCatcher Interactive in Toronto, and get a hands-on demo of the upcoming sequel to Painkiller. Originally started as a community mod, Painkiller: Overdose now has the complete backing of...

Shipping next week, Painkiller Overdose looks to be a satisfying entry for anyone who enjoyed the original, or simply wants to spend a few hours shooting up demonic creatures in the lower regions of Purgatory. It's a speed-oriented first-person shooter...

Painkiller: Overdose - Review

I really enjoyed the first two Painkiller games. Sure, at their core they were simple, mindless shooters, but the non-stop action, creative settings, imaginative enemies, and driving speed metal soundtrack all worked together to make them simply fun...

The Painkiller series has indeed overdosed, and should have been stopped after the first two games.

Painkiller: Overdose

The dark Painkiller universe heads off in a new direction in Painkiller: Overdose. The game is still a fast-paced first-person shooter, but instead of battling demons with series protagonist Daniel Garner, gamers take on the role of Belial, a half-angel,

Painkiller : Overdose

Game provided by A few years ago, there was a game called Painkiller and this First Person Shooter game was amazing in many ways but best of all fun. It did not try to revolutionize the genre in the terms of gameplay, and actually it...

Painkiller is still fun today ; Battle Out of Hell is a great expansion ; Graphics still hold up ; Audio and Voice Work are good still ; Pure Action ; Game is better then many other FPS which have come out over the last few years

Overdose is just simply awful and downright bad ; On my very high end system I get slowdown in Overdose even at Medium settings (I play Crysis at High, Age of Conan at Max, etc with great frame rates) ; I want a real Painkiller game to come out now...

Painkiller surprised me once I installed it on my PC, the graphics while not the best anymore, were still well done and the game ran smooth (it should) with all settings to Max, the same went with Battle Out of Hell and Overdose. All three games play...
