Pid presents a wonderland of sights and sounds to those patient enough to master its maddening difficulty.

Gravity-based beam mechanic allows for creative puzzles ; Charming art style and eclectic soundtrack ; Secret rooms and discoverable tools encourage exploration

Excessively brutal difficulty, particularly in boss fights ; Cooperative mode prevents drop-in, drop-out gameplay

Kurt's trials partly arise from the traditional platforming challenge, of course, but trimming the more repetitive sequences and draining the bosses' health would have edged this effort toward the greatness enjoyed by some of its contemporary cousins....

There's a fine line between pleasure and pain... I've died ten times, must I do it again (and again)?

So, is it worth your time and money? Well, the learning curve ain't too steep for your average punter, but the overall difficulty is. The many, many deaths of Kurt can be demoralising and extremely frustrating; however despite this it does grow on you...

Pid is a platform game that will turn everything you know about 2D gameplay upside down. You play as a young boy that gets stranded on an old remote planet. He must fight off a variety of malicious robots bent on stopping him and befriend unlikely...
