Portal 2 (PC/Mac)

Portal 2 is an accessible, clever, and downright hilarious adventure into the eccentric world of Aperture Science.

Does Portal 2 have what it takes to live up to the hype?

This review was based on the PS3 version of the game with a review copy provided by the publisher.

Portal 2 - PC review at Thunderbolt Games

While having a massive budget and armies of programmers are great ways to take a game from concept to store shelves, sometimes all that's needed is a creative mind, sharp wit and a dash of borrowed code. I'd be lying if I said a bit of cake didn't also...

I will be the first to admit that I never played Portal, despite the many platforms the title has been released on. Whether it was due to my addiction to FPS and RPG titles at the time or my closed-mindedness to the ideology behind the game, I never...

Portal 2 Review: Guess who's still alive?

Test subject Alex Roth really liked the first Portal game, so he couldn't wait to get his hands on Portal 2. See his thoughts on Valve's latest.

It's hard to sum up a game like Portal 2. It doesn't have enough shooting to be a shooter, but it's not abstract enough to be a puzzle game. It's unique and challenging enough to attract the hardcore, but its offbeat humor and intuitive design will...

Portal 2

Portal 2 takes what the original did so well and perfects it in nearly every way. It looks great, the voice acting is some of the best you'll ever hear, and everything works together to form one of the most impressive games in recent memory.

Portal 2

Almost four years ago, Valve released Portal, a unique genre-blending puzzler that had flown largely under the radar and took everyone by surprise, far surpassing all expectations. The obstacles were deviously clever, increasing in both variety and...

Great puzzles; funny writing and superb voice acting bring memorable characters to life; challenging co-op campaign is an excellent addition; improved visuals; twice as long as the original

Very few, if any. Replayability is a bit limited; Steam activation required, if that matters to you

Improved in almost every way, Portal 2 is an incredible follow-up to what was already an amazing game.

Portal 2

Fearing a tepid reception as a full standalone title, Valve first released Portal with the Orange Box alongside a host of well-established titles at a bargain price. Little did they know that just few short years later that little three-hour long bonus...

Portal 2

The game that taught the world "The cake is a lie" returns, with impressive new expansions.

All these minor triumphs are a credit to Valve’s subtle but potent marriage of writing and game design. If there was ever any doubt that Portal could be expanded into a big, narrative experience with all the bells and whistles of a mainstream gaming...
