Fun yet flawed, the postapocalyptic Ravaged is a ghost town.

Gorgeous visuals from top to bottom ; Lots of violent vehicles to drive and kill with

Pitifully small player community ; Classes and weapons are uninspiring ; Very limited number of playable maps and game modes

You've got to feel for Ravaged. The dust and dirt that covers its beautiful, sprawling, post-apocalyptic maps lays barely disturbed, such is the small amount of rag-tag soldiers that have travelled upon it. Its player base is tiny, mostly made up of...

Capture the gas!

Vehicles pack plenty of color; No frills, objective-based gameplay that just works; Great polish, Kickstartered or not

Gyro Copter piloting 101 is absent; Good times are at the mercy of full lobbies

But I suppose big shooter fans are used to that. If and when the lobbies start getting fuller, many players will find that they can leverage Ravaged’s solid mechanics and vehicular mayhem for one hell of an Unreal-fueled time.

A pretty but unpolished post-apocalyptic shooter from 2 Dawn Games.

The post-apocalypse wastes are underpopulated.

Good mix of vehicle and FPS combat on most maps; fun Resource Capture mode; some well-designed, pretty maps

Lack of players makes finding matches tough; non-vehicle maps highlight so-so FPS mechanics; $25 is too much for a multiplayer-only game without players

This concludes our review in progress. Check page two for our initial thoughts on Ravaged.

When we look back at online PC shooters over the last decade, the Battlefield series has to be a big part of that history, but in all of that, there was one mod that made a huge splash with its vehicle-oriented action and huge maps: Desert Combat. The...

Ravaged does deliver old-school online action that's very exciting, but 2 Dawn Games needs to get this game a swift kick in the ass and start getting people onto the servers, especially considering how often competing online games like Battlefield 3 go...

Ravaged is described by the developers as, "...a first-person shooter online multiplayer game like no other," and it mostly delivers on that promise by offering gamers an unique setting and world but fails to truly expand beyond the genre norms. While...

Ravaged delivers some of this year's best online vehicular carnage that's set perfectly to the backdrop of an engrossing and atmospheric post-apocalyptic world. From varied character class and weapon loadouts to the distinct map locales and settings,...

Drew checks out the latest team-based online shooter for PC. It has tanks, but is it any good?

Solid shooting ; Fun modes ; Old school fun

Graphical glitches ; Online only ; No tutorial

Join the battle for, or against, civilization.

With the holiday season approaching, there are a lot of shooters coming out. Ravaged has one thing to distinguish itself—the vehicles—but it has a lot more that's missing. Buying Ravaged for $25 isn't a terrible idea if you're in the mood for something...

When it first launched, Ravaged hovered around an average of 150 players online at any given time--pitiful in comparison to similar games, but still playable. That has since whittled down to about two dozen steady players, and almost all of them are...
