Engaging Game for The Money

I like it. Not a bad game for the money. After completion of this game I felt I got my moneyworth.

Single player SOF Payback is engaging. Compared to the Original SOF, there is much to recommend of this game

Nothing Significant

sadly, a waste of money

its been said already, but I really don't want others wasting their money like I feel that I did. I wish I had played a demo first, although I don't even know if they released one. I wouldn't have if I were them, cuz then people would've seen what a...

Two thumbs down

Too many to list. Everything is different from the previous titles. To me, the worst part is (don't read on for the faint of heart) the bodies don't blow apart like they used to in the good old SOF games

Soldier of Fortune Payback PC Game Activision - Retail

After previous SOF games I don't see how anyone would release something like this. The graphics, AI and overall game play should improve with sequels. But I guess making a quick buck is more important. I would have rated this game 0 but it's not...

NONE

Very low budget game

BEWARE SOF1/2 FANS!!

They should sell the source code to the SOF fans so that we can develop a proper Soldier of Fortune 3. I waited for years for this to come out and this was how Activision decided to "payback" their fans? Utterly disgusted.

Not

Crashes in Vista. They released a patch but that didn't help. This is a value title that Activision contracted out to a value developer, and as such this is not even close to a finished product. There are currently seven (7) class action lawsuits (not...

Under-achiever

Pity that the gameplay lags so far behind the visual quality which is actually quite nice despite having many non-3d objects. This game is not as story-driven as SOF 2 which takes away a lot IMO.

Nice graphics

Enemy AI is lacking. Enemies pop up out of no where. The interface is clunky, movements are jerky

A so so follow up to the other SOF titles.

Although the game had an occasional auto save, having the option of doing an F5 save would have made the game more enjoyable. In some of the more difficult missions, getting killed off before the auto save required you to replay the whole segment. That...

As a single player it wasn't bad. A fairly good storyline and plenty of action although it got a little tiring after a while with some kills

The game seem to lack the quality of the previous SOF titles. I also thought the ending for each level became boring after a while. Basically at the end of each level your mission was to kill whoever was the village idiot for that episode. That in...

Unexpcted and lacking

A fun game to play at least - too bad its so short. Given the lack of the random mission generator I don't know how long the "fun to play" part is going to last.

Pretty good game play visual quality and fun to play. Sounds effects are really cool :-)

The main selling point to Solider of Fortune (for me anywho) was the realistic gore. Limbs and things can still be shot off but the head now comes off whole no matter where its shot, individual gun shots are replaced with a large red spots over the...
