Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

The sequel to a popular game comes out a mere year and a half later, with a different developer and with three months shaved off its dev time. These are what we in the business refer to as "warning signs."

I don't want to make it sound like the game's unplayable, because it isn't. It's insanely playable, and I've lost about forty-eight hours to it already. For every glitch or minor gripe I've got with the game, there's a good plot twist, a funny line of...

Star Wars: The Old Republic Review

I'm Luke Skywalker and this is my favorite MMO on the Citadel.

Each class has a dedicated story; Full voice acting; Tons of combat options and loot; Unless you're playing an amazing Flashpoint; Kind of like being on the edge of a planet being created right before you

But the galaxy is a lonely place; In other words, not without its share of bugs; And it's so hard to find friends online

Still, if you're not really one for MMOs or you won't have the time to level up a character, please move along. The Force is strong with this one, but not so strong that you should throw away your console and invest in a beefy PC.

Review: Star Wars: The Old Republic Offers Something for Everyone

Bioware's new MMO (mostly) lives up to the developer's promises.

No single reviewer could play through all eight of Star Wars: The Old Republic's unique storylines, and even the most dedicated players have only seen a fraction of what the game has to offer after its first month. Even if a person could do all this,...

Star Wars: The Old Republic Review

BioWare released Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and I was crushed as it was only for Xbox and I didn't own one at the time, but then a PC version arrived and all was well - for a while - until we heard no news of a BioWare follow-up. The studio...

Nigh impossible to nail down but really I'd have to say grouping with my two friends as we conquer the galaxy one world at a time as Sith Sorcerers. There's little more satisfying in life then annihilating your enemies with a field of lightning, times...

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

If you look back on the history of games based off of Lucas' billion dollar saga you can notice a pattern. Some define their particular genre such as Jedi Knight...

Star Wars: The Old Republic

A Long Time Ago before A Long Time Ago... (PC)

You’d have thought that after almost 33 years, a recent trilogy of patchy movies, a dodgy animated feature and a slew of dire videogaming shovelware, the world might have grown tired of Star Wars by now. Of course, had you actually thought this would...

Star Wars: The Old Republic Preview

Star Wars goes MMO...again...in BioWare's ambitious RPG.

How we'll interact with other players, however, remains to be seen. With little information and no release date, much of The Old Republic remains under wraps. But if any developer can pull off a story-driven MMO and capture the Star Wars universe,...

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Begun, the dark times have...

Despite my lack of interest for MMOs, I can't deny the sheer excellence The Old Republic will deliver. It's extremely faithful to the Star Wars universe, rich in replay value, and upholds a strong narrative quality that carries an emotional impact from...

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Feel the force of one of the best Star Wars games - and RPG's - ever made

Fantastic Star Wars story ; Superb voice acting ; Dark or Light - your moral choices decide

Or just pick an allegiance at the end ; Minigames can be frustrating ; Item collecting can be redundant

Where The Phantom Menace failed, Knights Of The Old Republic succeeds brilliantly. This is a Star Wars prequel done right - with nary a Gungan in sight.
