The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind

Would you like a visual feast with your side quest?

Impressive, awesome graphics ; Extremely detailed game world ; Quest-it-your-way gameplay

Combat can be clunky ; Loot sometimes disappoints ; You may not finish the main story

One aspect that feels above reproach is Morrowind's stunning graphics. The character models and environments are crammed with an astonishing level of detail, and awesome weather effects also show up from time to time, like rain and sandstorms. The...

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind review for the PC

Size does stability.

What a world, what a world; Giganto-enormous!; Total freedom; You can be a jerk; Incredible depth; So many choices

Too many choices?; Combat problems; Can feel repetitive; Just too buggy

There's much more to Morrowind than is covered in this review, such as the impressive numbers of unique items, the thrill of murdering an innocent and getting away with it, and the fact that you can even make your own spells. If you can get it working...

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Robert Bogdanowicz The graphics are absolutely beautiful and leave very little to be desired. The Elder Scrolls Construction Set that comes with the game allows for even more fun and diversity through the creation of mods.

Morrowind Review

Most would agree that the RPG genre is going through another one of its periodic revivals at this point in time. Along with Dungeon Siege and the upcoming Neverwinter Nights, one of the most talked about RPGs coming out this year is definitely Bethesda...

Morrowind Review

Bethesda Softworks has spent a long time developing Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, the third installment in their series of expansive single-player RPGs. Morrowind was released with a decent amount of hype and fanfare, and it easily lives up to most of...

Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is an excellent game that should keep most players busy for weeks. Its open-ended gameplay style is revolutionary, and will surely be emulated by future RPG titles. The shortcomings are easily bearable, and the immersiveness...

Morrowind(Morrowind) is the best role-playing game I have played in years

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

I need to play more Morrowind.

I haven't even gone over a twentieth of what you can do in this game. For example, there are thousands of pages of in-game literature that you can read that provides additional information on the region of Vvardenfell. There's an incredible amount of...

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Ah, Morrowind. For years it's been heralded, not unlike the recently released Neverwinter Nights from Bioware, as the Holy Grail of modern computer role playing games.

However, after about fifty hours of play, I began to feel like I actually craved a bit more structure. The price of such freedom is that the game world seems very passive. There are thousands of...

Product Specifications

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Be the noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief rising to leadership of his guild. Be a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer searching for the cure to a plague. Your actions define your character, and your gameplay changes and evolves in response to your actions. Confront the assassins' guild, and they take out a contract on you. Impress them, and they try to recruit you instead. No two sagas are the same in the world of Morrowind. Players can choose to follow the intriguing main storyline, or set off to explore the huge province of Morrowind and the many interesting people and exotic locations it contains. Vast cities and remote villages dot the landscape, each with its own unique look and feel. Hundreds of quests and adventures await as you interact with characters and learn more. Regardless of whether you play a murdering assassin or a noble knight, the game holds endless possibilities and allows you to revisit the main storyline at any time. With Morrowind, the unparalleled Elder Scrolls character system is coupled with an exponential increase in the world's richness of detail and level of visual splendor. Utilizing the latest in 3D technology, Morrowind will feature hyper-realistic textures and polygon counts, real-time shadows, vast landscapes, skeletal based animation, and a complete weather system. Gameplay is further extended with the inclusion of The Elder Scrolls Construction Set, which will be included with the game. This powerful tool is being used to create the entire game, and will also allow players to modify and add to Morrowind in any way they see fit. Change character or creature attributes and skills, introduce new weapons or dungeons into the game, or create entire new worlds to explore. You'll be amazed how simple it is to use, and astounded by how much bigger it makes an already immense game universe. Players can easily swap files and add or delete them from their game with the click of a mouse, ensuring that no file can ever damage your game or change it permanently.
