Total War: Rome II Review

Revisionist History 101.

Deep Campaign mode; Wild fully-rendered real-time battles with thousands of soldiers; Fun time sink; Easy multiplayer battle options available

Most accessible Total War game to date; Each addition and improvement feels essential; Intuitive story driven tutorial campaign built specifically to show off key aspects of the game; Simultaneous naval and land assaults feel like the series’ long...

Waiting for AI turns late game can take a painfully long time; Some path-finding issues when besieging a city can lead to unwanted casualties
