Trine 2

Frozenbyte are perhaps most well known for their involvement in the humble bundle offerings (collections of games, created by low budget/staff development teams, with no restrictions on the number of times they can be used) and it's a sequel to Trine...

Trine 2

Everything you'd expect from your typical fantasy fair is here - but everything is so distinct and full of life that it's hard to ignore. Easily one of 2011's most surprising and best looking games, Trine 2 pops with personality, color and distinction.

If I'm playing as a Wizard, I want to have cool powers, and the trainer from Cheat Happens gives me perhaps some of the coolest powers I can get. I used the float mode a lot, which let me bypass certain tricky sections of the game, and get hidden...

Review: Trine 2 is a Whole List of Synonyms For "Beautiful"

The game's lavish visuals more than make up for a few snags.

There are those rare moments in gaming when a product looks so good that you find yourself doing an immediate double take to make sure that your eyes don't deceive you. Believe me when I say that you will experience this sensation every time you load...

Co-op mode is a blast ; Multiple solutions ; Gorgeous visuals ; Unique gameplay

Trine 2 Review

Clever and beautiful, Trine 2 is a delightfully open-ended sequel that shouldn't be missed by any puzzle fan.

Trine 2 throws players into a dazzling fantasy world and gives them three fun characters -- tools, really -- with which to save it. It's delightfully open-ended, from how you solve problems to whether or not you go it alone. Fans of puzzle games will...

Trine 2

Physics and spellcasting go side by side in this sequel.

The only bum note is that occasionally the controls can feel floaty and imprecise. It can be frustrating to correctly solve a puzzle, then find that janky physics makes it difficult to pull off. Thankfully, such occasions are rare, and just a wrinkle...

Trine 2

In the recent onslaught of big name holiday titles on the market, most games of smaller stature opted to push their releases farther away to avoid being left to the wayside. However, one game decided to battle for the attention of gamers away from...

The short length of the campaign and a few overly challenging puzzles are minor blemishes in an overall entertaining and worthwhile experience. Fans of the side-scrolling and platform genres need not look elsewhere, Trine 2 offers a wealth of truly...

Trine 2 Review

An incredibly beautiful adventure that's just a touch lopsided toward magic

Gorgeous graphics and loads of personality; easy-to-use co-op; clever physics puzzles

The Wizard is disproportionately powerful; occasional minor lag in multiplayer

Based off of my field reports I do believe this is one of the best looking games of 2011. Games that match style with substance as well as Trine 2 are practically magic.

Trine 2 is a charming fantasy platformer with dazzling good looks and fun physics puzzles.

Gorgeous visuals ; Fun, open-ended physics puzzles ; Smooth, accessible platforming ; Fun co-op, online and off

Unremarkable story

The storybook-style narration is genteel, and the heroes are amiably voiced. The music is rousing, too. Here, as with story and setting, Trine 2 cleaves comfortably to the genre, with all of the cheery piping of a high-class Renaissance fair. If you...

Trine 2 Playtest: A Platforming Playground

Trine 2 is littered with little goodies to collect, and they're laid out such that there's a lot of joy in experimenting with the game's physics to collect as many of them as possible.

Some of the achievements make Trine 2 fun to play around with, too. We’ve posted this trailer before, but here’s an example of some of the early achievements in the game. They also give you a good example of how the physics work:
