1st the good stuff:

The sound is fantastic but th wifi capability is poor and the range is limmited. Apart from this the battery performance is poor as well. You can play music for max 4 hours instead of the 8 hours.

The BeoLit12 sound better than any other portable speaker its size. There is no question. Undoubtedly its this performance (down to 35hz!) that draws the higher price tag.

We'd like to see AirPlay battery life longer than four hours, but overall, the Beolit 12 is very good: AirPlay functionality is great, and portability is impressive.
