Bose Companion 3

Separate bass unit': Yes, THX certification': No, Controller': Tethered, # of channels: 2, # of satellites: 2, Cont...

Spacious, uncolored sound. Stylish good looks. Touch-sensitive control puck.

Won't shake the floor. Sounds thin with some source material.

The Bose Companion 3 is a great-looking, solidly built three-piece system that produces moderately high volume levels, snappy bass, and a delightfully transparent, spacious midrange. It lacks deep bass output and is a bit too bright for our taste, but nei

Bose makes the perfect computer speakers

I am in the Army and I live with 2 other roomates. I have the smallest desk you can imagine. However, these speaker fit perfectly on it. I only paid $180 for a brand new set at the Army PX store, They sound absolutly amazing! I love watching HD movies...

Great sound, Build quality, The "puck" volume control, Tiny speakers and subwoofer make for easy placement. Its Bose

Speaker connectors, Cell phone interference

Good but not worth the $$

I really wanted to love these speakers but I'm just not impressed. I listen to them at max volume most of the time and that's about right but occasionally I find myself wanting to go higher. I'm a music nut but also on games or action movies the bass...

Great sound quality and acurate tones. Small form factor. GREAT volume control module

Not enough bass or volume for the money. They are good but not mind blowing. And for the price they really should be

Fantastic computer speakers... almost perfect

They look good, they're easy to use, and they sound really great. Pull the trigger.

sounds wonderful ; good volume ; desktop speakers are tiny (bass speaker is reasonably sized and hides on the floor) ; the control module makes it really easy to adjust volume and mute-- I never touch my computer's controls anymore ; I like the headphon

Only reason this doesn't rate five stars... no remote. even my Bose portable sounddock has a small remote. That would make this product complete if I could adjust volume and mute from another room

Great sound and spectacular build quality

I like the Bose system and recommend it to all looking for a higher class of sound and build quality.

Did I mention the sound quality and the build quality

Price could be lower

One of the Best Speaker Systems you can Buy

Other than the Companion 4, there isn't any better speakers you can buy for your computer. (in my opinion of course). Starting with the design, they are sleek, small, and attractive. They can easily be placed anywhere. As for the sound quality, these...

Amazing sound quality ; Crystal Clear Sound ; Wonderful Lows, Mids, and Highs ; No Distortion ; Compact Size ; Woofer creates pleasant lows, instead of house-shaking bass

Not a thing

Overall: Great

In general, the system sounds great. The lack of mids are solely covered up by the bass module (the bass module really impressed me in terms of cover-up), so movies and games would be great for this system. It sounds great on music, and the further...

Strong bass ; Clear highs ; Small footprint ; Bass adjustment knob ; Volume/mute pod ; Nice looking

Bass module pulls so much weight covering mids/low mids ; Can sound "separated" at times ; Left speaker failed, but I called bose and resolved it

Simply Wonderful!

These speakers are just WOW! I was blown away- i have fallen in love with the Bose label. The speakers are sturdy, the sound is just mind blasting and the volume module just makes it for me! Bose has added class to functionality. The actual look and...

Wonderful sound, clear highs, strong mids, amazing bass, cool design, fantastic volume module

Cheap cables

Head-to-head: Logitech Z-2300 vs Bose Companion 3

I've never written a review on a product before but since I put a lot of effort into deciding which speaker system I wanted for my computer I'll share my findings... I bought both the Logitech Z-2300 and Bose Companion 3 Series II with the intention...

Beautiful design

Couldn't beat the Z-2300 in price or sound quality

Consumer review by:

quite good, not cheap

with a speaker system it ultimately comes down to sound quality...which is subjective. honestly, i was looking for a good "clear" sounding system that would sound good and accurate at low/med levels. this system isn't THAT clear...it's kind of...

the sound fills the room very well. at low, med, or high levels, the sound is good ; nice design. this system is easy to fit into a variety of situations and looks good

expensive. 250 is a lot for a desktop speaker system.....but you get what you pay for i guess, and in that way this might not really be a "con
