Cambridge SoundWorks II 2.1 Speaker System

After owning several small 2 plus 1 powered sound systems, I have learned what the systems can and cannot do:

Great sound quality and ease of set-up. The system is small enough for easy portability. Great value for the price. Had our old Cambridge SoundWorks speaker system for many, many years and it still worked fine even after surviving a house flood.

I ordered this based on owning other similar products from Cambridge Soundworks over the years, and am really disappointed with the sound quality and the "build" quality of these speakers. Overall, the speakers sound very "tinny" and very "treble-ly"...

I purchased this set of speakers based on my recollection of the fine sound and construction of Cambridge SoundWorks speakers back in the 70s. I'm extremely disappointed to say that in this case, I was living in the past.
