Corsair SP2500 - Colossal Chaos

The desktop speaker market has been somewhat ignored over the last couple of years. The exciting days of large, powerful speakers specifically designed for the desktop PCs have long gone. Corsair's new SP2500 are a 2.1 speaker set designed specifically...

Corsair is selling the SP2500 for Rs. 12,200, which is a lot more than some of the popular 2.1 speakers such as the legendary Altec Lansing MX5021 for example. The MX5021 is hard to find these days, but with vey few good options in the market, this is...

Corsair SP2500 Gaming Audio Speakers Review

There is absolutely nothing subtle about Corsair's SP2500 Gaming Audio Speakers: This monstrous 2.1-channel system could start a riot. After just a few minutes listening to Les Claypool shred his stand-up acoustic bass on the Primus classic “Mr....

We still prefer B&W’s MM-1 or the combination of Audioengine's N22 amp and P4 speakers for critical listening, but each of those systems cost twice as much as the P2500, and neither will fill as large a room

Good Speakers

These are very nice speakers. I'm not a hifi speaker expert or anything, but these sound incredible to my ears. They can get really loud without distortion. Volume isn't what I bought these for, but it is nice to know that playing music at a...

Good sound ; Great Volume ; No Distortion

None really

good quality, good sound, not dynamic

I have been in the audio business for over 20 years, I have designed, built and engineered world championship car audio SQ systems. This set up is nice, and would be a steal at $150 or less; however for the price most should pick something else. If you...

Good construction, very good mid and high frequency sounds. The remote is wired, but is very nice and has a lot of features. This is a good quality PC speaker set up, if you love clear music which is not too loud

This system is not very dynamic at all. The subwoofer looks nice, and looks powerful; however it is all. The sound is crisp and clear, but the volume is lacking. For a system at this price it should be very dynamic

Corsair SP2500

I find these speakers to provide exemplary sound quality for the price. For me using a 2.1 system that provides good sound for music and voice is the most important feature a speaker system should have. Many other computer speakers use 5.1 or even 7.1...

Not the cheapest ; Not the smallest sub ; Corsair instructs you during set up that these speakers should be driven at full volume by the device they are connected to. but fails to mention they are not able to handle 300 or 600 ohm

Excellent Speakers!

Pricey, but worth it. My old JBL PC speakers were about 20 years old and needed to be replaced.

Outstanding speakers. Be sure you have a sound card that will do these justice. The eq is limited to some presets (I guess you could fiddle with the EQ on your computer instead if you wanted to). I used the "Jazz" setting and have the sub set to just...

The sub is big, but I don't know how else you would get the bottom end. I guess you could get a Bose system and read about how great the bass is instead of actually hearing it ;-)

Great Sound, Cheap Speakers

You have to send in the UPC to get the rebate, but Newegg won't take the return without it. I was very disappointed. The speakers are fine when using them at 1-4 volume, but anything above that they malfunction (They can go up to 20).

Amazing Sound ; Crystal Clear highs and lows ; Subwoofer kicks hard

Breaks within a month ; Staticy sound ; Something wrong with cables that makes a low humming sound

Blows Logitech out of the water!

I've put the speakers through all ranges of music and it preformed well, the bass drops out a little soon since it's not massive, but it certainly makes up for it with volume. Having sub volume control on the controller is nice.

Decent range of highs, very crisp and clean ; Man this bass can bump ; Overall sound is incredible ; The controller is awesome, with built in dynamic ranges and environment control, really give the system the extra kick that makes it great

Mids are lacking, but the speakers aren't huge, so thats to be expected ; The speaker stands don't clip to the speaker or anything, they just sit on it. Not a huge deal, but it makes me a little uneasy

Corsair SP2500

Excellent sound quality. Subwoofer sound is remarkable. Easy to set up. Solid design and build quality

Completely stopped working after a couple of months after ordinary daily use. I just sent out an RMA and let me tell you, shipping back these speakers is NOT cheap and these speakers are already pricey to begin with. Really upset that I had to shell...

Doesnt sound as good as my 5.1 Yamaha Home Theater, but you can't compare a $180 system versus a $800 one. Yet for a PC setup, it's terrific with my X-Fi.

great crisp sound (I have Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium) ; easy to setup ; controller is simple and easy to use ; great packaging ; I find myself hearing a lot more things in my games ; It's also awesome with music

the subwoofer black liner can peel off easily on the edges when not handled properly
