I think the free downloadable JBL manual says...

I was blown away when I heard the sound. It sounds as though you have thousand dollar studio monitors on your desktop. Love the little lights under each small speaker and the touch-sensitive volume control. Amazingly high audiophile quality

Nothing bad to say
