iHome iD9

The iD9 is a fairly simple speaker dock for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod, and its price reflects that. But the iD9 sounds good for the money.

The iD9's body is made of black and silver plastic that looks almost like metal. The system weighs 3.3 pounds and measures 12.9 inches wide, 2.1 inches tall, and just 4 inches deep. You simply place your dock-connector-equipped iOS device or iPod in...

Review: iHome iD9

Easy to use speaker system and charging dock for your iOS devices.

Good sound quality ; Battery lasts longer than the iPad battery ; Simple to use ; Easy to insert original iPad, iPhone, or iPad

Use with the iPad 2 requires an additional adapter ; Large for portable speakers ; Heavy to carry around

The iHome iD9 Portable Rechargeable Speaker System for iPad/iPhone/iPod is a simple, easy to use speaker system and charging station for your iOS devices. (For the balance of this review, I will refer to the iPad or iOS devices to cover all of them

iHome iD9 Portable Rechargeable Stereo Speaker System for iPad/iPhone/iPod Review

For people like me who hate earphones and have trouble finding a pair comfortable enough to wear for long periods, Apple's recent inclusion of speakers on their iOS devices has been very welcome. However, those speakers are tiny, and they can't produce...

Compact size ; Good sound and stereo separation ; Rechargeable battery ; Free iHome iOS apps turn the speaker into a full-function alarm clock

Doesn't include a remote; have to pay $20 extra if you want one

iHome iD9 review

iHome's iD9 (officially called the iD9 Portable App-friendly Rechargeable Speaker System for iPad/iPhone/iPod, but I'll stick with just iD9) is a portable, rechargeable stereo speaker dock for your iOS devices and iPods. And despite its affordable...

The iD9 is basic and simple, but it will generate nice sound around your home, and it can even provide the battery-powered soundtrack for a small outdoor gathering. While its audio performance isn't jaw-dropping, it's certainly listenable for small- to...

I paid $60 for this at TJ Maxx, so I didn't have high expectations, but it's not worth $60. I paid slightly more for my Bose earbuds, and the sound of this docking station isn't a fraction of the quality. I've done a bit of research and decided to...

Sleek design and easy to function

Really wimpy sound ; Volume doesn't go very high ; No remote
