iLuv ArtStation Pro iMM514

Docking arm supports iPads, iPods, and iPhones in vertical or horizontal viewing mode. Free app includes streaming Internet radio and alarm clock functions.

Distorts at maximum volume, especially on deep bass tracks. Remote control lacks full menu navigation.

The iLuv ArtStation Pro iMM514 speaker dock comes with an adjustable arm that allows for vertical or horizontal iPad and iPhone viewing, but its audio performance isn't mind-blowing.

Want to turn your iPad into an iMac? The ArtStation Pro will get you halfway there with a simply designed dock that'll mimic a desktop computer with your iPad attached.

Interchangeable mounts for iPads and iPhones; simple design that suits iPads specifically; Hooks up to a PC to iTunes sync direct to docked iPad/iPhone

For the price the Art Station Pro delivers sound as good as you get in this class of iPod attach device. Ideal for a kitchen or bedroom the devices allows users to access content from an iPod, iPad and IPhone as well as Android devices

iLuv ArtStation Pro review

Art for art's sake, but classic design doesn't come cheap

Rotating arm for iPad screen; good bass output; compact design

Higher frequencies can sound harsh at times

The recommended price of £150 is a little steep, but we’ve already seen the ArtStation Pro on sale on Amazon for £100 and it’s well worth picking up at that price – especially if you’re looking for a relatively compact speaker system for use with an iPad.

iLuv ArtStation Pro Review

The iLuv ArtStation Pro looks an instant goer

Icky brand-name and wanky model-name aside, the iLuv ArtStation Pro looks an instant goer, just as pretty in the flesh as it is on the packaging, from which it emerges with polythene wrapped all around its protruding parts, like a Christmas present.
