Nimzy Vibro Max

Occasionally we're offered something for review that's so bizarre we just have to try it to see if it works at all. Frankly, when we were told that this ridiculously-named gadget turns any flat surface into a loudspeaker we didn't have very high hopes

Fascinating concept, Works surprisingly well

Limited output, Mono only

Nimzy Vibro Max Review

The Nimzy Vibro Max may not be the most conventional set of speakers, but it's stylish and offers a unique approach to audio.

Attractive and unobtrusive design, remote control, easily portable, non-directional sound, available in black or silver

Sound quality is disappointing no matter where you put it, pricey

The Nimzy's virtue is its tiny footprint and easy portability. However, you can't run it with batteries you have to plug it into the mains. So, what could be a handy option for taking on the road with your MacBook becomes a hassle of wires and plugs.

novelty value

too bulky for a portable unit ; powersupply and wires makes it no better to use than an ordinary portable set of speakers ; takes a lot of adjustment to get a good sound out
