A pleasant surprise

 

The first impression when opening the delivery package was that it was much larger than I had expected. This was borne out when I actually got the unit out of the box. It's a monolith! Controls are pretty minimal, with a power and back forward buttons...

Should make it quite clear at the outset that I am not a hi-fi or electronic boffin so details of woofers and tweeters are wasted on me. I am reviewing this from the viewpoint of a woman in the street who just wants to plug her iPod in and listen.

Reasonable alternative to a mini hi-fi?

 

This ipod/iphone speaker and dock is a sleek, good looking unit with a shiny black plastic finish with curved edges and a very fine black metal grill protecting the forward facing speakers. On the top are minimal controls, just on/off, and up/down...
