Worst appliance purchase ever ...

I purchased this cooktop for the wrong reason: it was the only 30" stainless steel & black gas cooktop I could find at the time. I've had it about a year now, and I have actually stopped cooking -- something I took real joy in before I bought this...

None that I can think of.

No true "low" setting. Difficult to clean.

knobs in a really BAD place, and doesn't really have a LOW setting

I do like this gas cooktop, as far as it seems to cook OK... but the knobs are so close to the burners that when you turn on the flame with a pan sitting on the burner it ALWAYS burns your knuckles... I've just learned to light the flame without a pan...

looks nice and generally easy to clean

poor knob placement for several reasons, no true "LOW" setting on burners

Almost no cleanup required!

We bought a new Amana "First Edition" range with the flush quartz halogen glass cooktop about two year ago, when our existing range lost power in two burners.

Attractive, practical, easy to clean

burners stay hot, when they look cool
