The Better Chef works even better than I expected. The apartment I live in doesn't have a stove, only a microwave, and you can't cook everything in the microwave, you sometimes need a real stove.

We recently bought this for our week long vacation on the Cape. We were in a family style hotel that had a kitchenette without a stove. This handy burner allowed us to boil water quickly(ish) and cook some basic fresh food for our toddler and daughter.
