Consumer review (newegg.com)

cheaper than eat-out

$2 at Mac gives me 7 union rings. Now $2 gives me the whole bag of 20 oz frozen union rings. Tender and juicy.

I use it for 3 days everyday. Nothing broken yet.

Needs TLC handling as said by others.

Fryer for the basics

To get five stars on this the manufacturer could just use a timer that is more precise and doesn't span 0-60 minutes as most foods fry in about 5, and coat the numbers with something so they don't come off with the steam. Not sure why they haven't...

Can deep fry with the rest of them. Holds a sufficient amount of oil for cooking quite a bit of food and holds temperature better than I expected. Nice design for cleaning.

Takes a longer time than expected to heat up. The timer is basically useless (who needs to fry anything for 60 minutes??) and shuts off when set to less than 2 minutes. The numbers on the dials were removed by the steam that comes out of the fryer.

Works Great - Don't clean temp controls

You get what you pay for.

It works great once it gets heated up.

The paint to show the temperature, timer and logo all wipe off if you try to clean them. This is really stupid since you need to clean off oil splatter but end up wiping off any temperature markings. Also rather cheap construction with very thin metal.

Wondering How I Lived Without It

I wonder if the heating element can be replaced with an overclocked Netburst Pentium 4.

It was on sale, so low price and great value for what I paid for it. Newegg and UPS delivered it the next day. Produced way better fried food than my deep frying pan.

Takes a lot of cooking oil. I had to pour in two 1.42L bottles to reach the minimum line. Too many things to wash and clean afterwards.

Seems good so far

I've fried myself into a coma this weekend with this thing. It works very well so far. I like this way better than a standard deep fryer due to it's fast food-ish design.

Well this thing seems good so far - The construction could be a bit better but, for the price - it's hard to complain. It works well - it has a timer.

Construction could be better but, it's no deal breaker

You get what you pay for!!!

It works as described. Easy to clean. Easy to operate.

The basket handle broke apart the first couple of minutes of use. I wonder why they even sell this piece of junk.
