GE can do better, but won't

We have owned 4 (maybe 5) of these units and their immediate predecessor models. We keep buying them because they fit the space. None have lasted more than 5 years. We would gladly pay $100-$200 more if GE (or someone) would just make something more...

Easy to use controls; uneven cooking

We use this mainly for defrosting and reheating. It is fast and easy to use, but doesn't seem to heat as evenly as our old one.

great features

I keep finding new & useful features. E.g. you can set it to heat a meal for x mintues at one power level followed by y minutes at another level. The controls are intuitive - haven't had to look in the manual. I like the halogen lights under the unit....
