Timer is confusing ; Grill fan is noisy

A useful feature of the Hotpoint HUD61 is that you can use the oven timer to set oven to come on when you go out — although this is a bit confusing. The Hotpoint HUD61 can cope with cooking frequently and for large amounts of people.

Dual fuel good

Find it odd the fan doesn’t run all the while in the oven

The gas buttons on the front are a bit flimsy

The fan oven is good once it reaches the correct temperature. The second smaller oven is quite useful for just one tray of food.

The controls look a bit cheap and not very sturdy. The oven takes a long time to reach temperature.

Altogether a very good cooker

The timer alarm is not loud enough - even in the kitchen it is hard to hear and if you're anywhere else in the house then forget it! You'll not hear a thing

Easy to use

Detachable handle on grill pan is not ideal. Safety cover over gas hob is not vertical when open and looks odd.

I haven't had chance to use the cooker yet so cannot comment on that but - I have been advised by an electrician that this needs a 32amp electrical supply and not a standard 13 amp plug top supply so this is now going to cost me a lot of money to...
