hard to control

it has 2 knobs for control, on/off and focus of beam (let air in or not). i feel like there's no inbetween, its either spraying out 100%, or not and either focused making a hot fire tip, or not. if its not all the way open, the flame can be very...

Works great

This product is very easy to use and feels very solid. A nice appliance to have if you need to do a little searing or if you want to make creme brulee.

Iwatani Torch burner

I am an artist and paint with encaustic. These torch burners are the best I have used because of the adjustable flame. I don't use it in the kitchen, only in the studio.

Just what I needed

I was tired of the refillable torches that never seem to fill right, or leak too easily. I wanted a torch "head" that would sit on top of a butane canister and was lucky enough to find this one. It works amazing, it fits on top of my GasOne canisters...

Best torch on the market

The iwatani burner is the best on the market in the category. Easy to use and to adjust the flame.

A serious torch for any cook (or aspiring welder)

I purchased this for finishing items that were cooked sous vide, and I'm very impressed with its performance. It's easier to use, and puts out more heat, than any of the kitchen torches that I've used, and operates more reliably (and comfortably) than...

Difficult to light

This works quite well once it's lit, but the self-ignition pizo used to light it just doesn't work. I probably have to click the trigger twenty times to get the flame going each time.

Good Torch, can be a little much at times

Over all this is probably the best torch i have purchased, especially for the price. Love that all I need to do is switch the cans out and no more filling the torch every couple of days. the only flaw i can find in the torch is that when you put a...

Hot Hot Hot

This thing fires a serious flame. It's rather kind of scary, yet stimulating. Nothing says manliness like a flame thrower. I could probably weld my copper pipes with this thing. It gets super hot. It's like an afterburner on a F16. I use it to sear...
