Avoid Viking (in spite of its good looks)

 

We spent almost ten grand to buy our dream range - a 48" Viking with six burners, two ovens, and a grill. We didn't realize it was a clue when the stove arrived with a knob missing. Soon we discovered that the oven controls are defective (both ovens) ...

I purchased the all LP version of this range first. In spite of at least a dozen visits from the appliance repairman, they could not get the LP conversion to stop back firing so bad that the doors would nearly blow open when this would happen every...

Don't buy this oven !

 

Don't even think of buying one of these. We rebuilt our house in 1999 and installed a Viking 48" dual fuel range. We went to the distributor that had a very fancy presentation set up - complete with free cooking classes - and we felt really good ...

When it's not broken, the convection oven cooks very well
