Nice Alternative

I bought this to replace a hauppauge cable tuner, as I knew I'd need more than 2 channels. Couldnt get it working on my SageTV server at first, but I think something go jammed up with WMC for the setup since the hauppauge was installed initially. Got...

None. The only thing I could complain about was it not working on the SageTV server but that seems to be a WMC issue. I'm sure that there is a way to fix it but not worth the trouble to investigate. Worked great on the virtual server running WMC

Good hardware - WMC is TERRIBLE

The device works very well. The Ceton software works fine ; HOWEVER, the Microsoft software that is required to USE the device is all but worthless

Windows Media Center (WMC) is TERRIBLE. You can never count on WMC to work when you've schedule the recording of a show or movie. When it works, it's great. But it is so unreliable you can never predict when you'll get the recording. I recorded several...

Pen Pals

I was hoping to have fun with my new toy, and save a bit from cable box rental fees. What I received in listed in the "Cons" The big positive is the resale value. Reselling it limits the loss

I gained a new hobby with Ceton's InfiniTV Tuner device. That is being a Pen Pal to their tech support. Although I purchased it on 2/28/13, it was not operational until the cable card was installed a few weeks later. From that point forward, I have...

A big let down

There were none

Installedthe Ceton software on Windows 7.It did not work no matter what I tried. I am a very knowledgable person when it comes to technology. I did everything I needed to do. Tried two cable cards for pairing. Both were paired correctly (Ceton's...

Drivers cause Win8 crashes

I'm considering a return. We need a working solution, not a project to chew up time. Ceton had plenty of time to get ready for Microsoft's release of Windows8, so telling it's existing customers not to upgrade does not prevent the problem for all the...

An excellent design concept, providing Windows Media Center computers, including laptops, with four cable-card assisted tuners for live cable TV. The tuner quickly paired with a multi-stream cablecard which has been used previously with a HD Tivo DVR....

Like most computer-based live TV solutions, the problem is with the software. Ceton discussion groups show that their software has caused serious memory leaks and crashes on each new release of both their own products, and Windows Media Center. With...

Great Product (When it works)

Of all the tuner cards I've tried (HDTV Wonder, WinTV dual tuner, Fusion HDTV, Hauppauge HD PVR), this is the ONLY one that actually works consistently and in HD. Having said that, I should note their support is sub-par and pretty much worthless. I was...

Great HD tuner ; May be networked

Only compatible with WMC ; Can only connect one unit per PC

Works as adverstised

It took took me 5 minutes to install and 12 minutes wait with the cable company to get the cablecard authorized. This is quite an upgrade compared to the Hauppauge card I used to have.

Easy to install. Good interface with Windows Media

Great tuner

I wish cable companies wouldn't be SO GREEDY. there is no reason for whole home DVR to cost what it does. If you are good with networks and computers, this is an easy way to save

Tuner works great, occasionally needed to reboot computer to get it to re-recognize ; Love the cable card system, no more HD access or DVR fees for me ; Stream from Windows 7 desktop to Xbox 360 for all TV and recordings

It stopped working. Currently RMA in process with Ceton, which has been a very good experience ; Set-up can be a pain. I would not recommend a TV Tuner for just anyone. If you are going to use a Media Center Extender, you need to know about TCP...
