Why no audible alarm for calls answered

Pet peeve in sector: Home answering machines used to have multiple mailboxes. Now none do. Why?

Solid voice quality and construction compared to VTech/ATT competing units

This is the first phone with an onboard answering machine which does _not_ have an audible alarm for messages waiting. I use a home answering device, rather than phone company/cloud voice mail for privacy reasons. Lack of an audible call alarm means I...

Don't Buy Any Other Brand DECT Phones

Don't get ripped off, do your homework on the price of the replacement batteries.

Panasonic cordless DECT phones are the only ones that allow you to replace the batteries with off the shelf AAA rechargeable NI-MH batteries, which are much cheaper than the proprietary batteries other phone makers (ATT, Vtech, etc) force you to use....

Delivery was swift and the phones worked perfectly. Previous phones we had were very short on battery life and these seem to last all day

The phones work as advertised

Poor range

This is a decent phone system, but there is no way to set up a soft key to access my external voicemail (which I use instead of the built-in answering system). The biggest problem is the range of these phones. I'm not sure if it has problems going...

Good sound quality

Very poor range. No dedicated soft key to pick up external voicemail

Still learning

All in all, this is an amazing deal, and the customer service is top-notch for this company. Even though I have this issue with the phone book, I'm giving it 5 eggs out of 5. :)

Tons of features! Love the easy way to set up the cell phones. Instructions are very clear. Te4sted just fine: made and received land line calls, as well as made and received cell phone calls ; Easy to add phone numbers to phone book ; Still learning...

Integration of cell phone contacts doesn't work: I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which is a modern phone, and it didn't work: when it came to the part where my cell phone was supposed to take over for adding each number manually, nothing happened

You can leave you cell(s) on the charger and walk all around the house with the cordless handset, good range so far. Not REALLY any cons.

I don't need a land-line anymore. Can make calls from any room through either of two cell phones. Cool tech

Have to push more buttons to make a call. (is that a con?)
