If you go more than 10 feet from the base unit it cuts out, if you go outside it cuts out, if you go downstairs it cuts out. The LCD screen lights up 15 seconds before the phone actually rings. You can answer the phone before it rings. Hard to hear on....

This system has easy to understand start up instructions. It has many features found on your cell phone: phone book, caller id; special rings for special people. Good transmission when phone is outside and away from base.

I have been pretty happy with this phone. The ringer could be a little louder and I have a dead spot around my house which may not be the fault of the phone. I also wish it had a belt clip. But it's a very good phone and the battery life is excellent.
