Vonage Loves Your Cash and Hates You

Please, for your sake, avoid Vonage. Their customer service is terrible, and they will hold onto your money with the death grip of Ebanezer Scrooge (if he had never reformed, that is). Extortive, unsympathetic robots. Hidden costs. Cancellation fees of...

Vonage VDV21-VD - router - desktop

thought "UNLIMITED" means unlimited, but after usage for just 2-3 few months, I got warning email(s), and voice calls/messages from Vonage threatening me to reduce my international minutes, because somewhere unwritten they have this limit of 1500-3000...

nothing that I can say for the pro for this product..only get cheated

Its not really "UNLIMITED", it is actually as per TOS, but Term Of Service for Vongae WorldPlan states "normal residential usage", which they can change can be from 1500-3000, depends upon who looks into the account

Never Trust Vonage, They will cheat you some how.

I wish I could go to every person out there looking for a new netphone company... and warn them to read the many bad reviews vonage has. they are a horrible company. that lies and cheats just to suite them. they also will change your rate plan at...

They make their empty promises and deals look appealing

Change local numbers to long distance at random ; Customer service is designed to draw out your complaint as long as possible in hopes you will give up, or until your bill date comes so they can charge you and run

good service, bad h/w

call quality is bad if you do download on your pc with voip. hardware is really BAD. If you are just looking for a cheap international calling plan & can cope with some technical issues then its good. Note: I typically use 4000 mins of international...

Vonage Service - OK, Vonage Hardware - Sucks!

I would recommend Vonage service to anyone. Their hardware is very cheap and does not work very well at all. This is the 3rd or 4th router I've had with them in the last 5 years.

Nice 'service', hardware stinks

Router locks up, no support for this particular model on Vonage's website, vdv21-vd

Terrible, terrible

Terrible service, horrible tech support... and it will cost between $45 to $125 to cancel! Read before you sign up!

It did not burn down my house

But, if my house was on fire, I would have had to reboot my Vonage system before I could try to call 911

it is ok to use.

i bought this for my house and it works great with my router the only problem is the number takes forever to get transfered to vonage. but other than that it is working ok for me.

you can keep your existing phone number ; voice is ok depending on router ; easy to setup and use

takes a long time for the existing number to transfer. about 7-10 days. the faster the transfer the better. does not display missed calls

Best VOIP phone service period!

Best VOIP service for the money and a whole lot cheaper than the usual land line services from standard telephone or cable TV companies.

Call quality is superior to all other VOIP services ; Feature loaded service ; Very reasonable prices, less than half land line phone service prices ; No setup fees, no cancellation fees, no early termination fees, month to month service, cancel at...

Not the cheapest VOIP service, but the best overall quality and includes all the best features ; Unlimited service caps out at 3,000 minutes or 50 hours according to their "Terms of Service" and "Reasonable Use Policy" on their website and service contrac

Falsely advertised

say's unlimited, but charges you a lot more extra for calling cell phones. Only gives you the flat rate if you call land lines. Seriously who uses land lines to a hold of someone?

Sounds clear

Too much money for what I can get with another company
