Dazzle DVD Recorder DVC 100

Got old home movies gathering dust and mould? The DVC-100 offers a stress-free way to archive them to DVD for posterity, although critically it doesn't really do much more than that.

Very simple tape to DVD recording facility ; Big colourful inputs ; Very easy to use

Software has very limited functionality ; Some dropped frames, even on high-end systems ; Can't handle any copy-protected material

There is one significant catch with the Dazzle DVD Recorder, but it comes from the software, not the hardware. The version of Pinnacle Studio 10 that comes with the device is heavily cut-down trialware which wouldn't even install on our Vista test...

Got Job Done-Not Excited Though

I have one specific VHS I wanted to record to hard drive. Been searching for it for 10 years, finally found a used copy at the "jungle river" store. (LOL, that name is on the banned words list!) It got the job done, obviously the quality is only as...

Got the VHS taped recorded I wanted. Aded to my collection for Windows Media Center viewing

Drops or skips frames. Not enough to make it useless, but enough to be obnoxious. My PC has Intel Q9400 & 8gb ram; the processor isn't the problem

I don't know if it works!

Terrible company support. This product may work fine - it may not. How would I know?

It hasn't crashed. I cannot run it

The install CD had no software key, nor did the sleeve as indicated on the install. It's been a week since receiving. They have asked for a scan of the invoice, a picture of the CD and a picture of the CD. I still don't have the software key ; I do not...

A lot of disappointment

The replacement for my original unit worked fine for a month or so

When I later tried to use it, it could not detect an input. Dealing with Pinnacle technical support is futile. It seems like all you get is the stall and the runaround. It's almost impossible to get a replacement for a defective unit. With everything...

great for Vista

It is a great buy if your system is running Vista, use caution if your running Win 7.

Records with no pauses or breaks. crisp clear video with great sound

Software damaged my cdrom.sys file while I was using Windows 7, I had to downgrade to Vista in order to make the software work correctly

Cheap Quality, Cheap Results

For what it costs its the cheapest on the market that will give you some results, although they are not very impressive. It is fun to have those home videos, but is it worth it when the VHS quality actually looks or sounds better... I dont think so.

Easy to setup if you have one of the operating systems required. (Note no 64bit) Software works and at least gets the video and audio

Audio over a longer period of time starts to separate time from the video to be over 1 minute behind. Drops frames during the process as well. Takes a few acquisition times to get a perfect copy. Also if you move the program from one monitor to another...

Piece of Junk

Save yourself time and money and skip this. There is a good alternative which does the exact same thing for 10 bucks except it works. Only wish I found out about it before I bought this

I honestly can't think of any

Once it finally arrived and I opened it up to find a warning saying it contained a dangerous amount of led and to wash my hands after using I should of put it right back in it's box and sent it back for a refund but nope I actually tried to get this...
