Cost a lot more than I paid for it. Pay more, spend less.

I have always purchased my computers in parts and put them together. This is not rocket science, but if it is daunting, you can also have a local or internet computer company assemble a custom package out of quality parts for a reasonable sum. I was ...

Small.

Inadequate power, repeated conflicts, constant issues.

Solid Low-Cost Computer

I'm more of a power-user and wouldn't recommend this computer for multimedia editing, but we bought this for my wife's business (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office) and personal use and for that it's been great! I've had very good experiences with Acer and...

Solid, middle level computer. The screwdriverless design makes it easily upgradeable. Sufficient well placed USB and audio ports. Fast enough processor with sufficient memory to make it fast enough for home/home business use

Power supply is a bit on the low side so you wouldn't want to add too many internal peripherals without replacing that as well. I would prefer not to have multi-partitions on the main drive

Acer Power APFH-UD4401P Core 2 Duo E4400(2.00GHz) 2GB DDR2 160GB Intel GMA 3000 Windows XP Professional

The removable side panel with a huge vent is really nice.

This PC is very (very) reasonably priced. The specs are awesome - this thing is fast! Worked great right out of the box

I opened this and installed a PCI-E video card, and this internal setup of this PC gave me a little trouble. The additional card "holders" (I'm not sure what they're called) are pretty cheaply manufactured. I was able to figure it out, but wasn't able...

Dont buy an acer

Got it on time and as expected from newegg. It ran great for the first 3 months

comp died. acer support sent new power supply and tech installed still nothing. acer sent new mother board tech installed still nothing. After 3 1/2 months of owning this computer it has taken a complete and total loss. acer is being difficult to deal...

Good value

Runs pretty quietly, performance is good. The 2GB of RAM is nice as well

It makes a little extra noise when you ask a lot of the CPU, so I think the CPU fan is a little noisy. Pressing on the case seems to help. It's also s little hard to get additional hard drives into the bays; I had to push a little harder than I was...

4 for 5 Booted Up

I bought 5 of this for business use. Good looking, good performance, good value. A number neat features, the automatic backup and e-recovery feature. You have the ability to lock user's from writing to the USB ports, DVD/CD drive, plus you can quickly...

Only 4 of the five booted up. Lots bloatware, after a little performance tuning things are running smooth. Why cannot PC makers pre-load some of the required updates, had to 63 updates to XP Pro, EI and other standard MS OS programs. Couldn't register...

Acer Core 2 Duo

Acer Core 2 Duo

Rec'd from Amazon within a week. Easy to set up and use. No problems.

Good computer for the price

Very good computer for the price.

Think you just bought a computer with a 80GB harddrive? Think again -- thanks to Acer's backup software, you're now missing half of it as a backup partition.

Average

Computer's clock was set to some time in 2005. When I updated it, the 15 day trial of Norton expired. I don't know if that's Norton's problem or Acer's but I don't think that's right.

Fast

No restore disk included. HD partitioned into two. Lots of bloatware

ACER Power

Why do manufacturers insist on preloading this useless junk which only gets in the way and slows things down? How about letting the customer decide what software to run?

Reasonably priced and hardware seems to be ok

Comes with real bad ACER software preloaded. I spent hours trying to get access to the CD/DVD drive and my USB Flash Drive. Only after uninstalling Lanscope was I able to gain access to these devices
