Acer AM3450-UR30P (PT.SHDP2.001)

Discontinued, so why did I write this?

Good computer, lots of space

Wireless card was defective. A few months after the warranty expired, the issue grew worse

Worth the price.

Overall Acer has put together a nice system for those who need a solid computer for home and small office work. I am not a gamer so no commit in this area. Finale thought, get rid of all the bloat ware.

For at home computing this Acer is right for the job and right on the price. It is a nice system that you can jump right into. I like the speed that it offers on start up, about one minute to fully load, after that ready to work. Finale thought: when...

Just a couple of things to watch out for. You may not be able to view all web sites, this is because you need to update the drivers. Second, if you start getting Fuel.Service.Exe errors showing up in Action Center you can disable it in SERVICES

won't work

Bought to replace problematic primary computer, but Acer wouldn't connect to wireless. Meanwhile fixed primary computer. After months, connected Acer directly to router, but unable to boot up windows. Get "windows not genuine" message. Tried to install...

Great PC

Great all around computer. The OS makes it super easy to setup and clean out the garbage that comes with a new install. Very pleased with this purchase and would suggest Acer to anyone from now on.

The built-in wi-fi and sound card are amazing. I haven't had any issues and it can even play Diablo 3(at lowest settings). The hard drive space is very nice. Easy to setup and Acer is an amazing brand

Upgrading the video card requires a 'x1' which is somewhat hard to find a good one. I ordered one but I have yet to receive it so we'll see how easy it is to install

Mid-high performance on a budget

At one month of ownership, I am overwhelmingly pleased. All of the cons together do not equate to the loss of an egg. If I had a need for multiple machines, say for an educational or lab setting, I would not hesitate to forego Dell's expensive box for...

Overall, I am very pleased. Some of the positives ; USB3.0 ports ; Very quiet -- even with all fans running ; 6 GB RAM ... one slot was open, so I added a 4GB stick for total of 10 GB ; USB2.0 ports galore; four on top near the front + six on the rear...

Like every other windoze machine I've ever owned, it fails to awaken from sleep mode 20% of the time. I disabled sleep mode like I have on a hundred other boxes ; The media drawer has a funky open/close button on the side of the unit which is located...

Correction - No DVI

Similar to Chad, I must make a correction. I don't know what I was smoking while writing my previous review. The unit has VGA & HDMI outputs ... *not* DVI

x17 and Counting

I've upgraded my company's entire network with these with no major hick-ups. Occasional bios beeps with 550Ti cards, but runs without a hitch. In reference to the 1 Egg reviews, you need the Windows 7 Codec pack to play most DVD's (user error, not...

Adequate Cooling. Nice amount of storage. Very quiet. Everything you need for an office/home PC or a starter gaming rig. 12 USB ports

Small Power supply. If your looking to add more components, plan on upgrading the power supply. Bloatware and the 25 minutes it takes to uninstall it all. Power button is on the side, ironically the wrong side since the opposite side needs to stay...
