Perfect for XBMC on Linux

This is the perfect little computer on which to run XBMC. Ability to mount to the back of a monitor/TV is great and my media center is hidden away. It is silent and runs flawlessly day after day. Get this if you want an XBMC setup

keyboard and mouse are extremely cheap but given that I had no intention of using them, I didn't think it warranted taking an egg off. Although, I not plan on building a wireless SNES controller using the keyboard internals and usb adapter

Decent Starter HTPC

It's a good starter HTPC for a home entertainment system but there are far better systems out there for the same price range. The best features it boasts are the built-in wireless features and the Nvidia ION2 GPU which runs 1080p video quite nicely....

Small ; Energy efficient ; Built-in wifi ; Comes with wireless mouse & keyboard ; Plays older games decently ; Plays 1080p video

Difficult to open to upgrade ; Cheap harddrive that died in a year ; Only supports 4 GB's of ram ; Tends to overheat

Acer AspireRevo AR3700-U3002 Nettop Intel Atom D525(1.80GHz) 2GB DDR3 250GB HDD Capacity NVIDIA ION graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

This is a really great choice for an HTPC or computer for kids/people who just browse the net. The ION/Atom combo can handle HD content, but I find it stutters sometimes in loaded scenes with lots of audio/effects at 1080P. I think that upgrading the...

Very nice little setup, well thought out, lots of USB ports for its size. Fast for what it is, very very lower power usage. Included keyboard and mouse work pretty well. Can be mounted on the rear of a monitor. It handles 1080P some times

what a piece of garbage

Maybe the keyboard is bad?

well............at least I can return it

I cannot activate the wireless keyboard. There is a "connect" button at the bottom of the keyboard, but no matter how and when I press it, or how close to Acer I stand or whether I hold it down or not, keyboard is not working. Do not seek any help in...

Small and Mity

I dont see why this wouldnt replace your desktop if you wanted to. Perfect for LCD Plasma TV has it has HDMI out and had no issues with it coming up on my Samsung TV. Might want to upgrade to better keyboard and mouse setup.

Small fast startup unit. I use it with my 51" Plasma to surf, email, watch videos, steam shows. Quite, compact, fast and easy setup

Power light bugs me at night because its too bright and blinks when in standby mode ; Keyboard and Mouse wireless not working well after less than 2 months. After 5 emails back and forth with Acer they are sending a replacement 5-7 days. Not the best...

Very Nice for a HTPC

Solid system for what I want it to do. If you are sticking with stock Windows and plan on using the Netflix website for streaming movies, you may be let down. Silverlight is just too slow and bulky for this system. Even at 720p, you will notice that is...

This review is going to assume that your purchased this for your own HTPC system. Not as a personal workstation ; Perfect for a HTPC system. Very small and compact and extremely quiet. Pretty beefy for such a small system ; There are a few other HTPC...

The wireless card is a little weak. This HTPC is only a room away from my router (this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124411). This issue isn't finding the signal, I have a full-bar signal... it is that the actual...

Great small PC, its working perfect no problems at all

You have to uninstall all that useless software witch Acer gives you, and i add Ram because on startup it was lil slow it need like a 30-50 sek to like warm up and works like a charm

An Acer Winner!!

Looking forward to a faster Processor and more memory in the next version!

Great little machine right out of the box!! Small, Quiet, Fast ; This little machine will out perform most larger desktop units and for the price, a hands down winner

Hmmmm.... Can't think of any. Lots of software that I don't need but easy and quick to remove

Helpful Tips When You Get Your Revo

First and foremost, install ALL of the Microsoft Updates. Get rid of the bloatware, especially McAfee. I only kept the Acer screensaver, eRecovery management and Microsoft office starter programs. After removing the bloatware, use CCleaner to clean...

The Acer AspireRevo R3700 is extremely simple and easy to use. For the price, you really cannot complain about much. The wireless is at maximum in the same room as the router. The keyboard and mouse are still working and do not take up much space. ...

The operating system was not updated to SP1. This is a minor inconvenience

Excellent Buy

I compared its features and price to what it would have taken to build from a barebone nettop and in my opinion this was the best buy. It is very quiet. Youtube worked great after updating the video driver. It's great for everyday use

The hard drive is slow, but it was no surprise. At some point I plan on upgrading it to a ssd, but there's no rush
