Nice machine

We install these machines in small businesses, and they run great, you can't beat the price, the quality is there, we have 100+ of these machines in service throughout the state with no failures or problems. Solid system, for a solid price.

fast processor, adequate hard drive. The hard drive is not bogged down with extraneous software, has a media reader instead of a floppy drive, cooling is good, room for expansion inside the case

no floppy drive, on-board video is basic, lots of updates and configuration files that run on first start up, no speakers included

What a bargain !

256 Mb RAM is barely enough to run Win XP...ACER ought to standardize on at least 512 Mb, instead of forcing an upgrade.

This desktop is simply a good bargain. I added another 256 Mb RAM for my client. Everything works great. The on-board audio and video are fine for non-gaming apps. ACER construction and Quality Control are great. DVD read, CD Read and Write. Runs cool...

Stay Away!

Stay away from this drive. Cheap drive built by Optiarc??? NOT NEC Good luck on getting drivers, site is in Taiwan.

Good Product, Great Price and overall performance is top notch

A Good Buy

I buy Dell computers for a large school. This Acer can do the same tasks for a fraction of the Dell price.

Nice layout, plenty of room to add extra cards (3 PCI slots open). Setup was uneventful and error free. Award BIOS easy to configure, decent internal VGA output. Quiet operation

It needs more RAM. I added 1GB for improved speed. No AGP slot for improved video

Junk

I am waiting for NE to open up I hope they can take care of me. Oh I have extra memory that I ordered for it as well and theat will come today...Nice!

Got it in 3 days

Well the unit powered up and just sat there. I checked all of the connections and called ACER after 20 min on hold we discovered that the MB was bad. They told me they could send me a new MB or return it to New Egg

Best price for a complete computer

Great kids starter computer to surf the internet, do homework and lite kid games or use it as a home office computer. Make sure you create that back up disk during the first start up. Buy it at the discount price for the best deal {-50.00}

Quite, cheap, worked first time, would be hard pressed to get all componets at a cheaper price and have them work

No case fan, Mouse is not optical, upgrading is limited to an APG card and 2 PCI slots open. Not for hardcore gamers

Can't get a monitor to work with it.

I've contacted Acer to see if their customer service can do anything for me directly under the manufaturer's warranty (I can dream, right?). If I get nothing from them, I'll return to NewEgg. I'll post again if this is resolved.

Couldn't beat the price. Had a pretty good number of positive reviews across the internet. Convenient case design

While it looks and sounds like it's booting properly, I can't tell for sure because none of the 3 monitors (perfectly working otherwise) that I tried would even flicker with this machine. I think that the monitor port arrived fried and I fear other...
